Rathbone is a UK-wide voluntary youth sector organisation providing opportunities for young people to transform their life-circumstances by re-engaging with learning, discovering their ability to succeed and achieving progression to further education, training and employment.
Our philosophy and our approach to working with young people today come directly from our founder 'Elfrida Rathbone' who believed that everyone, whatever their starting point in life, can make progress through learning.
Rathbone's young people often face some of the greatest challenges in our society.
We aim to recognise the potential in every individual young person that we work with and enable them to develop and achieve a plan for learning which is a real launch pad for a positive future.
Our staff work with all of our young people on a basis of mutual respect.
Rathbone is a place where young people are supported, encouraged and challenged in every way possible to make the best of themselves.
